Kazakhstan's car market grew by 20% in January

In January, Kazakhstanis spent 50.9 billion tenge (us $ 134.3 million) to buy new cars, trucks and buses.
In January 2020, the country's car market sales increase by 20.2%, compared to January 2019.

According to The Association of Kazakhstan Automobile Business (AKAB), official dealers sold 4,951 cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 393 units of trucks and buses.

"Car sales in January are traditionally considered the lowest in the year, however, it is already obvious that 2020 will continue the current trend towards sustainable growth.

The first quarter as a whole, and especially sales in March, more accurately predict the results of the year. The share of locally produced cars will increase this year, but not as much as it was in 2019", Anar Makasheva commented, Vice President of AKAB.
